DPLL 2021 Spring Season

DPLL Little League
2021 Spring Season

DPLL Little League 2021 spring season practices will start on March 15th. These are unprecedented times for our children, and by providing a social, educational and physical outlet in baseball we can help improve their minds and bodies.

Registration for the 2021 season ended on February 20th. The DPLL Board of Directors is forming teams and developing a schedule that will afford our kids the opportunity to return to the baseball field in a modified manner, per public health department guidelines. Per the CDPH guidelines released on Dec 14th, 2020 baseball is classified as a moderate contact sport and games will be permitted when our county is in the Red Tier (or better).

March 8th teams and cohorts will be announced, and practices start March 15th.

Here is the basic framework for the 2021 DPLL season:

  • No player evaluations, Opening Day Ceremonies or concessions planned

  • Practices only - until scrimmages and games are allowed

  • Santa Barbara and Goleta elementary school boundaries will be heavily taken into account when forming teams

  • Juniors division teams will be formed based on previous years evaluation rankings

  • Each team will be divided into two cohorts of up to 6 players and 1 coach

  • A team will share field practice time between cohorts, infield and outfield

  • Clinics will be run under a similar structure, possibly starting in April - if and when permitted

  • Additional modifications may be implemented pending Little League® approval

Dos Pueblos Little League really appreciates your patience, support and involvement in youth baseball.  Please consider volunteering on your child’s team as we all need to contribute to make this a safe and successful season.
